ZUMBA combines elements of dance with calisthenic techniques to create a fun, high-energy fitness experience. After a brief warm-up, students will learn several choreographed dances. These dances, performed to a series of recent hit songs, mix elements of jazz, hip-hop and Latin movements to create a unique and rewarding exercise experience. The instructor focuses on correct technique, while maintaining a pace and energy level conducive to a high-level aerobic workout. Zumba is open to dancers at all levels, and is especially recommended to those looking for an enjoyable and unique fitness experience.
